The Story

Rugged Wear Clothing started when the founder, Reed Bartels, took a hiking trip to Zion National Park. Reed and his friends did a challenging hike called Angels Landing, which requires you to hike up a mountain, navigating steep terrains, uneven surfaces, and chains.

This adventure also requires the hiker to hold onto chains to avoid falling off the high mountain. But all in all, he and others made it!

The experience made Reed realize the need for rugged, strongly made apparel, capable of withstanding rough handling and weather experienced during hiking and other outdoor activities. For that reason, he decided to create Rugged Wear Clothing!
